So much for posting once a month
Can you believe we're more than halfway through March?! Where is the time going?
At least I've fixed the "not doing literally anything productive in terms of cosplay creation" problem. On the other hand, I've pretty much done nothing EXCEPT work and work on cosplay. I've been keeping Krile cosplay progress logs publicly on fandom.ink thread and privately (a little more detail) on a Twitter thread.
Progress in January:
- Figured out the blue dress shuttlecock situation (steel boning wire and/or intense amounts of tulle for a petticoat)
- Remaking the hood, especially improving the ears
Progress in February:
- Took like 2 weeks off oops
- Remade the collar and hood attachment like FOUR TIMES
- Reworked the jacket side wings: now uses more than 40% less fabric than before! So much lighter!!
- Did a bunch of small work to cleanup edges that were so messy.
Progress so far in March:
- Made giant brown microsuede bows, and THEY! ARE! SO! CUTE!! (Also added the weight back on lmao)
- Currently working on the white collar and sleeve cuff bits that have the indented and outdented designs.
The last 2 things have been sooooo much hand sewing. Honestly my hands are major pained. I need to massage them out more.
All I do right now is work & sew & be completely unable to keep up with social media.
OH AND MY FRIENDS AND I SUCCEEDED IN GETTING TICKETS FOR NA FANFEST. I'm so hyped.
